Checkers was born on April 11, 1999. He was the last puppy left in his litter.We were pretty lucky! Checkers is very smart. He is very well behaved and knows how to sit,lay down, catch, fetch, shake, beg, roll over and give high fives! Recently, Checkers had a lump removed from his head. It turned out to be cancer but he has a pretty good prognosis so we are hopeful that he will be with us for many more years to come!

Sherman was born on May 25, 1999 and is Checkers' half brother. Sometimes he can be a pain in the butt because he is pretty naughty. Lucky for him, he is VERY cute so he usually winds up getting away with everything. He instigates a lot of playing and doesn't like to share his toys with anybody. Sherman has had surgery on both of his hind legs for luxating patellas
